In short
The standard business card in Bulgaria is 90 × 50 mm. Much of Europe uses 85 × 55 mm, and the US uses 88.9 × 50.8 mm (3.5 × 2 inches). PVC and NFC business cards are usually the size of a bank card: 85.6 × 54 mm. For printing, add 2–3 mm of bleed on each side and keep text at least 3–4 mm in from the edge.

Print file: bleed and safe area
- Bleed: 2–3 mm on each side if the background runs to the edge. A 90 × 50 mm card with 2 mm bleed is a 94 × 54 mm file.
- Safe area: keep text and logo at least 3–4 mm inside the cut line.
- Resolution: 300 dpi. A 90 × 50 mm card is 1063 × 591 pixels, or 1110 × 638 pixels with 2 mm bleed.
- Colours: CMYK for print. Keep the QR code dark on a light background.
If you design in Canva or another editor, set the size in millimetres and turn on the bleed display in the settings before downloading a print PDF.
Why NFC business cards are bank-card size
PVC cards are made to the bank card standard (ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1), with rounded corners. That is why they fit every wallet and card holder, with the NFC chip built into the plastic.
Echo Cards are 85.6 × 54 mm, matte PVC, with an NFC chip and a QR code on the back. We design for that size for you, so you don’t have to think about bleed or safe areas. One card is €30, with no monthly fee.
